SUPERFEET FOOTBEDS
Bootfitting is the art of marrying a soft flexible foot to a hard rigid shell...footbeds play a critical role in helping to make the foot more rigid in a supportive, comfortable way to help you achieve better balance and performance on your skis...as well in softer boots for snowboarding, skating, running, hiking, etc.

The footbeds that come in any new ski or snowboard boots aren't much to crow about... they might feel okay when they're brand new, but will soon compress and lose their support after short use. In a ski boot, this invariably leads to greater foot and ankle pain, with an accompanying loss of edge control. In snowboard boots, the fit gets sloppy and your heels lift. In nordic or in-line skating boots, the lateral support disappears and feet start cramping and fatiguing. This is a bummer after you've shelled out big bucks for specialized footgear...but other than coughing up another $150+ for custom orthotics, what can you do?

Superfeet footbeds are a good solution for many feet. Why? First, they better match the shape of the bottom of your foot to provide greater support and to help eliminate discomfort and numbness. Second, they help minimize inward rotation of the lower leg, which results in less knee strain and greater shin comfort. Third, they better stabilize the foot to reduce such common pronation problems as ankle pain, arch ache, toe pressure, black toenails and heel discomfort. In short, Superfeet footbeds provide greater support to enjoy the level of performance your footgear was designed to deliver.

We carry the blue Superfeet footbeds which we find best fit the majority of folks out there. They are designed around a low to medium arch height and are 1/4" thick in the forefoot.

Choose the size you need (mens sizes listed...ladies, please deduct 1 full size from these for your feet), then trim `em with scissors for an exact fit using your original boot insoles as a pattern.

BONTEX INSOLE SHIMS
These mildew-resistant shims are inserted under footbeds to remove excess roominess in a boot. Their hefty fiber composition provides additional insulation and they can be trimmed to fit any boot. Two thicknesses are offered.

HEEL LIFTS
Heel lifts have many uses. They can increase forward lean by increasing your boot ramp angle, help stop heel lift, reposition the ankle bone, take pressure off the arch, decrease boot top tightness around the calf and more. They can be trimmed or modified to fit as necessary, and are offered in 3 different sizes. Small size creates 3/8" of lift, medium is 7/16", and large is 1/2".

HEEL WEDGES
Although good footbeds are the best solution, you can slip wedges under your heels to correct for a foot that rolls to the inside (pronation) or outside (supination). Correcting pronation will make the foot seem shorter and narrower for less pinching in the boot. It will also aid in edging, slow down rotation causing shin bite, and cut down on arch cramps. They can also be used for other wedging, such as around an ankle bone, etc. All sizes offer 1/4" of lift on the thick side.

ANKLE L-PADS
Use L-pads to fill the void between the Achilles tendon and ankle bone. They provide better security and heel hold-down. They are self-adhesive and can be sanded or trimmed to fit as necessary. Attach them to the outside of the boot liner.

These pads snug up the fit around your ankle bone. It's good for heel and ankle retention if the hindfoot is loose in a boot. These pads are self-adhesive and are attached to the outside of the boot liner.
