If you have a stripped out binding hole on your ski often the best solution is to install a plastic or a brass insert. This tool creates the proper diameter hole at the correct depth. It includes an 8mm drill bit, which is the proper diameter for the brass and plastic inserts we stock. The depth of the drill bit is easily adjustable with the included 2.5mm allen key. Once the depth is set the hefty collar of the tool ensures it stops when it should! Keep in mind that plastic and brass inserts are meant to repair a hole or two on a ski, they are not intended to be used in situations requiring helicoils (i.e., extensive damage to screw hole, or multiple screw holes damaged per ski). They are not a replacement for Binding Freedom inserts.
