Product Description
- Dominator ReNew with graphite.
- These base prep waxes are formulated to deeply penetrate ski or snowboard bases.
- They allow a very hard layer of wax to remain on the surface which helps better protect bases.
- Traditional base prep waxes are usually very soft...and while they penetrate deeply into bases, still remain soft on the surface and wear quicker.
- Use this as a storage, travel, new base prep or fresh-stoneground wax.
ReNew ZOOM waxes are deeply penetrating base conditioners in Graphite and Non-Graphite formulas providing both base impregnation and surface protection.
Why recondition the base ? Dry base is a very common problem caused by several factors: stonegrinding, use of base cleaners, aggressive snow, repetitive use of hard waxes, and failure to wax. Additionally, new skis and boards can have dry bases because factory wax, often buffed on, is non-penetrating.

Dominator Base Conditioning Wax w/Graphite Ultra Penetrating
Haven't used it yet for actual skiing. Cleaned the bases of my new stone-ground skis and applied the Dominator wax to protect them over the summer until ski season begins. The wax was super easy to apply; flowed quite nicely over the ski bases. It did "blacken" the orange portion of my Blizzard Rustler 9 bases. Not a big deal for me. Don't know if applying my ski wax next season will cover the base " smudges" or not. Time will tell.

Outstanding base prep wax
Great base prep wax. Excellent for cleaning bases with a hot scrape. And it seems to extend the life of glide wax. With this base prep wax, I get two or three more days out of my glide waxes before I need to rewax my skis. Decent improvement for doing a little extra ironing and scraping. This will discolor light colored bases, though. It has no impact on performance. And the discoloration will eventually wear off if you start using a different colored wax. But most of my skis have black bases. So it's not a big deal for me. Overall, this is excellent base prep wax that definitely makes it worth the effort of applying a base prep wax.

Dominator Graphite Renew
The Dominator Graphite Renew Base Prep Wax is a great product , it penetrates deep into the base, it’s also a great value and will do a lot of skis. I use this Base Prep every time I wax and I wax my skis every time I’m done skiing them.

Absolute necessity for brand new (or freshly base-ground) skis
Give your new skis the treatment they deserve, Dominator Base Conditioning Wax. l ALWAYS do a hot scrape and then iron in some of this stuff before I go near the snow with my brand new skis. It's easy to use and penetrates deeply to give you a good foundation for your favorite top-coat wax.

Excellent base prep wax - high quality at a good price
This is excellent base prep wax for every day and training. Great quality, easy to apply, scrapes off easily, penetrates very well, affordable. The graphite seems to help with friction when snow is not pristine clean, but this is not a big difference for every day recreation skiing. Note that the graphite makes light colored bases look "dirty" if you don't do a thorough job scraping and brushing, but if you do a good job with your finish work you don't really see a difference with the graphite even on light bases. For completely dark basis this is a non-issue. You also need to do a better job of cleaning wax drips off side walls if you don't want them to look dirty. Then again, you should really do a good job brushing bases and cleaning sidewalls anyway so maybe it's good to have extra motivation. And - looks are for beauty contests ;)
