Product Description
These drill bits are specially designed for mounting ski bindings. They ensure the holes are drilled at the correct diameter, and perhaps more importantly...at the correct depth. They fit any mounting jig, are a full 3" long, and will countersink the screw holes so you don't "bubble-up" the top ski surface when you tighten down the screw. The bits feature a pronounced lip which prevents the bit from drilling any deeper than it should. Bits are sold each.
- FOUR OPTIONS AVAILABLE (first number indicates diameter, second indicates depth)
- 3.6 x 9mm or 9.5mm bits are best for most adult alpine skis without metal in the ski.
- 4.1 x 9mm or 9.5mm bits are for most alpine skis with a metal or titanal mounting plate internally located in the ski.
- 3.5 x 7mm bit is for most junior alpine skis.
- Always defer to binding or ski manufacturer recommendations.

Right tool for the job
Mounted bindings for the first time and this bit made it hassle free (apart from the measuring). I used the 4.1mm variant for skis with metal topsheets. Drilled cleanly through the metal, which I then tapped with another little tool from Tognar. Definitely use a nail or punch to make an indent where you intend to drill so that the bit doesn't wander.

Makes quick work of mounting an AT Binding
Besides being quick it also is really easy to be very accurate and dead-on. I used it with Tyrol Ambition 12 bindings on Ramp Skis.

Well worth it
First time mounting bindings for me, and this bit made it easy, not having to worry about drilling to deep.Did great for my tele bindings

Makes life a lot easier!
Using this bit saved me heaps of time on my last mount. Should have gotten one of these sooner.

You need one...stop kidding yourself.
Why the heck didn't I get one of these years ago? Great product. The stress-reduction alone is well worth the price of the bit.

Excellent quality and precise fit in a jig
Very good results with nordic bindings. It is hard to do without these if you use a jig.

Very simple to use with integrated stop
Mounted a pair of telemark bindings with these bits and they were very easy to use with an electric drill (freehand). I've since bought a drill guide to make it a little easier to drill perpendicular holes rather than reading the level as I'm drilling. On my Blizzard Bushwackers it took more effort than I was expecting to get through the metal topsheet in the binding area with the 4.1 drill bit, doesn't seem very sharp or I need to adjust my drilling speed some more. Once I got through the metal layer it went through the wood core very easily.

Makes drilling for bindings easy
Not that it is horribly hard to limit depth while drilling a hole, these bits make it incredibly easy. Just punch down with a drill press until the flats contact the ski surface.

Perfect tool for the job
Depth and diameter are spot on every time. Sharp bit for precise holes.
