Product Description
Cap skis, slippery sidewalls, super fat skis, this vise can handle them all. The key feature, and what makes it different from others on the market, is the clever, fully adjustable, "boot dummy" that snaps into the ski binding and is used to secure the ski to the central mount. It also automatically retracts binding brakes and keeps them out of the way. This is seriously a very cool vise, if you're tired of struggling to keep your boards still while you tune or wax look no further!
- The ski can be positioned base-up or at a 45° angle using the faux-boot to secure it.
- Includes vertical clamp set.
- The boot dummy fits Alpine Bindings and Dynafit AT Bindings (the boot dummy has Dynafit attachment holes drilled in)
- Includes a seperate binding adapter for use with nordic skis with NNN or SNS bindings.
- The tip and tail supports, and central tower attach to the bench with adjustable clamps, but can also be permanently mounted with predrilled holes.
- Will clamp to benches up to a whopping four-inches thick!
- Tip and tail support towers are seven-inches tall.
- Support width on top of tower is 3.25" (85mm)
- Vise set includes tip and tail supports, vertical clamps, central faux boot attachment, boot dummy, NNN/SNS adaptor and 3-bench clamps.

PROFI SKI VISE WITH VERTICAL EDGE CLAMPS
This vise system seems strong and adaptable to my family's skiis. It clamps very solidly to my workbench at home. I emailed Tognar support with questions about mounting to a 2x6 for use at a condo in ski country. There answer was swift and well reasoned. I look forward to using this vise in both places next ski season.

PROFI SKI VISE WITH VERTICAL EDGE CLAMPS
Works well for most skis. Wide skis don't fit quite as well on the angles sides. Could also be a little taller, as my Look bindings barely fit when clamped flat. Overall it's a good vise.

Profi Ski Vise with Vertical Edge Clamps
excellent well-designed product. I mounted it to a piece of 2x4 and then clamp that to my workbench, or when its nice outside, to one of my deck railings. Ski is held firmly in place. I used flat and angle. Did not use the vertical, although I have the attachments. I have been tuning my own skis for 30+ years, and this works far better than my ancient vise I just replaced. Highly recommended.

PROFI SKI VISE WITH VERTICAL EDGE CLAMPS
Excellent vise! It's easy to use and keeps my ski firmly in place while providing unhindered access to the base and edges. This system is so much nicer than my traditional vise set up. The Profi Ski Vise easily handles all of my skis, from 84mm - 116mm under foot. The only thing that would make it better is a second boot dummy for convenience so that I wouldn't need to change the dummy out on my skis between applying the wax, allowing it to cool and then removing the wax.

Suits my needs
I did some downhill ski edge tuning and waxing on it. Really like the way the binding attaches to the middle post to make the ski sit still. The two angles at which the ski can sit on it makes working on both the edges and base really comfortable. My only nitpick is that you have to reposition the middle post when flipping the ski from toe to tail, but it's not a huge deal for me. Also, I haven't used any other job-specific vise for this before, so can't compare.

Good overall, not quite tall enough for some bindings
Great concept and executed fairly well. The only flaw I see is that the heel of some bindings prevents them from being mounted in the base-flat configuration because the binding hits the table. For me this happened with Marker Dukes and was pretty close on a few other bindings as well. My workaround was to put 1/2 inch shims under each of the 3 vise components to raise them up. This was a relatively easy fix but it'd be nice if the whole system was just a little taller.

Why pay more?
Great vise for both Alpine/XC. I'm really happy with this vise and it seems very durable and well made. I have moved and retightened the clamps many times and they always hold just fine. I have mine set up on a metal folding sawhorse and it works great! I just took it out to use for my second season so glad I have it!

New vise for almost all types of skis
I have had a chance to work on Dynafit lo tech bindings, alpine bindings and XC. This is a nice compromise if you want just one vise set up to work on all types of skis. It is made of plastic parts in places so I cannot speak about the durability yet. So far this early season, so good! Also Tognar Toolworks rocks with excellent service.
