Product Description
Ski or snowboard boots too big? These insole shims are the simplest way to take up extra volume. Simply insert the shim between the boot shell and liner (not inside the liner) and the extra volume will disappear. If unsure size up, you can easily trim them to fit (see shim lengths below). Available in two thicknesses.
- Light, flexible, durable and resistant to compression.
- Their non-woven, resin saturated, polyester composition provides additional insulation and resists mildew
- 3/32" (2.3mm) for those who just need a little tightening up.
- 5/32" (3.96mm) for those whose boots are obviously too big, and for most soft snowboard boots.
- Sizes are based on men's street shoe size, we recommend sizing up one size and trimming as needed (see shim lengths below).
- Actual shim color may vary.
- Sold in pairs (one right, one left)
Actual Shim Lengths
- 6-7 = 10.25" (257mm)
- 8-9 = 10.75" (274mm)
- 10-11 = 11.37" (289mm)
- 12-13 = 12.25" (307mm)

Insole Shims
My ski boots are too big. They're helping immensely. These and the ankle wrap pads are helping prevent heel lift. I'm happy. I recommend them.

Ski boot insole shims from Wintersteiger.
Having spent "many" years in the ski industry as a boot fitter, tuner, and tech, I can highly recommend these as a great option for taking up volume, and increasing ski bail (Buckle) tension if these are what is required. They will raise the entire liner, if installed properly, and help with a boot that is either slightly, or a-bit-too-big in the heel, instep, and toe. Bear in mind that these should be used as an option "after" a qualified boot fitter has evaluated your fit, and if you have moldable liners, i.e. Intuition, or the likes, it's a good idea to remold the liner so the entire interior is properly contoured. Enjoy a great product, ski well !. ADL

great insole shims
hard to find anywhere else. cheap way to take up a little volume in boot (the thicker version is likely the best bet there, the thinner one isn't very noticeable). Definitely buy 1 size larger than your boot size (as recommended)

Insole boot shim
These are critical for a good fit. I have one foot a bit smaller than the other and can take up space w/a thin shim in one boot and thicker in the other boot. Custom fit!
