Product Description
Ski or snowboard boots too big? These insole shims are the simplest way to take up extra volume. Simply insert the shim between the boot shell and liner (not inside the liner) and the extra volume will disappear. If unsure size up, you can easily trim them to fit (see shim lengths below). Available in two thicknesses.
- Light, flexible, durable and resistant to compression.
- Their non-woven, resin saturated, polyester composition provides additional insulation and resists mildew
- 3/32" (2.3mm) for those who just need a little tightening up.
- 5/32" (3.96mm) for those whose boots are obviously too big, and for most soft snowboard boots.
- Sizes are based on men's street shoe size, we recommend sizing up one size and trimming as needed (see shim lengths below).
- Actual shim color may vary.
- Sold in pairs (one right, one left)

Works good but black mold grows
I'm not as careful about fully drying my boots as I should be, but these insoles, which do a good job for my fit, grow black mold after a period of time. Partly my fault, partly the fiber material Bontex uses.

Work great
After my boots' fit has loosened up after a couple seasons, I add these (1/16" version) to reduce volume & firm-up the fit. After some trimming for fit, I install them inside the boot on under the boot liner & fix in place with double-sided carpet tape. These shims also help make my boots a bit warmer. The shim material is fairly dense, so I don't notice any significant impact on snow feel through the bottom of boot.

Sizing
The 8-9 insole does not fit in my size 9 boots at all. It's a full size too short and very narrow in the heels. Am I missing something here? Please contact me if I am...is it supposed to be short?

No Substitute!
I have narrow AA feet, and there is NO substitute for Bontex insoles! Cut them to size, and place underneath existing insoles. Reduces shoe volume, and without adding squishy padding that won't hold up. Also adds little more protection from bottom impacts. Bontex is very durable, waterproof, and mold-free.

a must have to adjust boot fit
I usually have to take up some extra volume in boots. Supportive footbeds like Superfeet don't do it all. These shims allow u to use your favorite footbed and then take up more volume for a snug fit. Buy your own shims And avoid extra time and money at the ski shop
