Using the Ski Sharp Tool (the basic version)
- Set your desired bevel angles on the tool.
- The tool comes with a set of files, use these to set your angles initially, or to change angles if desired, after that hide them away and use the Green and Ceramic stones to maintain your edges. Using the files too often removes more material than required and shortens the lifespan of your skis. Of course use them if the edges really need a freshening up, just don't use 'em all the time.
- Insert the Green Stones and address the edges, shlightly overlapping strokes work best. The Green stones are aggressive and create a sharp edge without removing alot of material.
- Insert the Ceramic Stones and address the edges, again using overlapping strokes (tip to tail or tail to tip, doesn't matter). The Ceramic Stones polish and hone the edges, making them faster on the snow and more durable.
- You're done...go ski!

Ski visions ski sharp
Been using this tool for over 30 years. I do my own skis and skis for others. Does a great job.

Should have picked it up sooner.
This Tuning Tool is a game-changer for skiers who value precision, performance, and convenience. Its exceptional build quality, versatility, and accuracy make it a must-have tool for any skier. Make sure to watch the videos before use. I only used the different stones and that was enough.

Ski Sharp Edge
Fastest for course filing with consistency. I always follow up with diamond stone and svst bevels and the tuning stick. This tool can leave a substantial burr on the edge.

Ski Visions edge tuning tool
I have had this for 20-30 years. LOVE IT. Works as advertised. I have mill files + the course/med/fine edge stones. Excellent tool and well worth the money. THANK YOU

A Must Have
I have had one of these for maybe 20 years! I've tried other solutions but this is the most versatile and works very well. The best feature is it does the base and side edge simultaneously! Anything you want to do to a ski edge, you can do with great accuracy with this tool. Just don't drop it on a cement floor when it is freezing cold. Otherwise it would have lasted another 20 years. I didn't think twice when I broke mine, I ordered another one as I stood in the shop.

Five Star Tool
The SkiVisons system works really, really well. It is easy to use and highly effective. I saw a prior review about the Ski Sharp Edge Tuning Tool breaking too easily. This has been true. However, the new ones I have seem like they are built more durably.

easy to use, accurate, makes sharp edge, flexible system
I've used this for a couple years on skis, race skis, snowboards. I have the included metal files as well as the recommended ceramic files. Having had other hand sharpeners, this is far superior. Highly recommend watching all his videos and get his downloadable instructions and tuning hints. I have not the problems some other reviewers mentioned - the tool is not flimsy, it doesn't break when dropped (it might if dropped a couple dozen feet onto cement who knows), it doesn't leave marks on the base (I recommend sharpening before waxing so you have a fresh, correctly structured base without any effect of the tool).

Easy to use to maintain edges, leaves marks on the base
The adgustments are easy and seem close enough to actual angles. Easy to use. Need to have flat bases, shaved sidewalls, and edges that are level or higher than the bases, or this tool won't work (expected). Overall nice due to the ease of use, but the plastic of this tool scratches the bases much more than I expected. It should have been flat instead or with ridges that leave rather substantial grooves behind them. I think I prefer using a long file or stone on a proper metal angle adapter than this tool, especially if the edges need a bit more work than just a touch-up.

Excellent Tool
This tool dramatically reduced the time it takes to tune my families skis by working both the base and edge at the same time. My daughters both race at the national level and I do all their tuning with this tool. Regarding the "flimsy" comment, there is no need to gorilla tighten the thumb screws. The support from Ski Visions and Tognar has been excellent as well.
