Product Description
The Eliminator is a semi-soft foam pad with a smooth inner face that's designed to fit snugly behind your existing boot tongue. The Autoadapt foam material custom-molds to your shin over time. They can help cure a myriad of ills, including shin bite relief, heel lifting and elimination of instep pain from over buckling...particularly in snowboard boots. They also reduces or eliminates excess room in upper boot cuffs... especially valuable for folks with thin legs or calves who have previously not been able to enjoy all the control boots are designed to deliver without cranking boot buckles impossibly tight, which usually has the undesirable effect of overly stiffening the forward boot flex.

Finally my boots fit!!
I am 6'5" tall and have skinny lower legs. I have tried many ways to get boots tight enough around my lower leg - buckle really tight, different liners, etc. None of the previous attempts achieved a really good, comfortable fit. If you boots are loose around the calf, forget good control of the skis. I bought a pair of large Eliminators and now I am happy!! They fill the space and conform to your shin. I ski with good control and I don't need to carry a screwdriver to lever my boot buckles and warp the plastic to get them tight enough. Buy these and you won't be sorry!

Fills the void :-)
My shoe is a Men's 10.5 A. The foot volume is very low, being almost all skin & bone. I have "bird legs" as well. I was never able to get front-entry ski boots to clamp tight enough. I tried all of the wizard boot fitters in Mammoth. I was unimpressed. I had foam-to-fit liners made. These solved some problems but created others. The best luck that I had was these custom tongue inserts. They filled the area above my foot, pressing my foot down and back to where it belonged. The material is soft enough to conform to my foot, but firm enough to hold securely. Strong/aggressive skiers may find the foam too compressible, but it was perfect for me. I have cut some down for my hiking boots and for my street shoes.
