Product Description
These quality files are hard chromed for longer life and better glide. They are 2nd cut files with 18 teeth/cm, and are well suited for all-around edge filing. With a Rockwell hardness of 67 they easily cut through edge material. Ski edges have a hardness of around 48, a file from your local hardware store will likely have a hardness of around 50. We offer them in 6, 8 and 10-inch lengths. If you want to keep it simple just get an 8-inch and you'll be covered. If you're looking for a slightly more aggressive file, take a look at the Viiala Hard Chrome 1st cut files.

Unbelievable....
I'm an ex-racer that has always taken the utmost pride in my hand tuning techniques. Until now, I've always used a 'run of the mill' (pardon the intended pun) bastard file from the hardware store. I cannot believe how far superior this higher end file is, it's ridiculous. There's 35 years of my life I'll never get back..... Don't waste your life away, spend a few extra bucks and buy this file!!! Regards E-Train

Makes A Toolbox Happy
Before we got this file we had the "other one," the one you find in every big box and hardware store in the country and our tool box just snickered at us. Well. We got this file and reverently laid it in the top drawer. And we swear. As we left the shop our toolbox imperceptibly smiled and raised a finger to the brim of its fedora.

Simple and efficient,do no even tray to look in your local store, this is the best bet for the money.

stays sharp
good price, good file. Much harder than my hardware store Nicholson files. I used one 10" for most of last season and it stayed sharp.

Sharp and affordable
The files do a great job de-burring the edge. It seems like they are going to last a while as well, but really a little soon to know right now. Certainly the price was good for at least a number of tunes.
